Artist-Builder

My practice engages directly with the materials, processes, and relationships that emerge through construction. I explore how attitudes toward labor, craft, and collaboration influence what gets built, and how social dynamics unfold when people construct things together.

Recent Projects

My projects are often collaborative, constructive events that integrate pedagogical and participatory dimensions.

Here is a selection of recent projects that capture my approach, my process, and what I strive to bring into being.

My perspective is shaped by a lineage of California counterculture - arts and crafts philosophy, beat poetry, Soto Zen teaching, social practice, and the craftsman lifestyle. These threads inform both the ideas and the ethos behind my work: an approach grounded in curiosity, reflection, and the belief that thinking and making are inseparable and that another world is possible.
